Post #1 "Notes on the Cinematographer" (Due 1/14/15)

Please read the Introduction (found in this link) and the entirety on Robert Bresson's "Notes on the Cinematographer" (better pdf for the full text here.) I recommend breaking it up over a few days. It's not a lot to read, but it's a lot to process. Please select 3 of Bresson's entries that speak to you and/or change your perception of what filmmaking is and comment on them. Please include the log entries before your comments.

Post #2 - "Under" short Film (Due 1/14/15)

Please watch "Under." A short film by Mark Raso. Made in Columbia University's MFA film program. It won the Gold Medal at the Student Academy Awards in 2012. Comment on a particular aspect of the film that relates to you creative duties on this TCF 442 project.

Post #3 "Glory at Sea!" (Due 1/21/15)

Please read the script for "Glory at Sea!" and comment on writing style, visual concept, and/or character development. We will watch the film in class on Wednesday and discuss the transition from page to screen.

Post #4 "The Accountant" (Due 1/28/15)

Please watch and giver your thoughts on "The Accountant." 2001 Oscar winner for Best Short Narrative.
